Maintaining proper diet schedules is another important aspect of maintaining proper health, especially when it comes to pre-workout meals

Here are a few pre-workout meals for having great workout benefits:

1.Chicken and Rice:

Carbohydrates play a crucial role in maintaining proper metabolism of muscles. So to get the most from your pre-workout meal these need to be consumed in a proper way. Chicken is rich in protein and rice is rich in carbohydrates. So when they both are taken together as a pre-workout meal, they ensure the muscles to open up and expand in a healthy way.

2. Chipotle Bowl/Mucho burrito:

Any pre-workout meal must be rich in energy-producing properties (aka carbs). Though many people consider chipotle or Mucho Burrito as a fast food, it helps in energizing our body. Nutritionists around the globe suggest this style of food to their clients especially when talking about heavy workouts. Chipotle helps in providing sufficient energy with less fat content. If you are in a pinch and need to grab something on the way to the gym, a burrito bowl with brown rice and source of protein will be a good option to get you through your workout session.

3. Pancakes:

Pancakes are rich in protein especially when you make these coconut bliss pancakes. The carbohydrates and protein will give you a boost in energy which you will need performing during your workout. Carbohydrates will convert to energy slowly helping for the longevity of the session. Pancakes are a great pre-workout meal because they are delicious and will help you especially during long sessions such as running, cycling, etc., by providing endurance to the body.

4. Oatmeal:

Oatmeal is a great source of fiber. Fiber helps in providing high resistance to hunger and enables muscles to burn out fat. By consuming oatmeal 2 hours before the session, you can curb hunger. When mixed along with some protein powder, oatmeal can provide a high source of energy and also double as a post-workout meal. 6. Banana and Greek yogurt:

Many people believe the myth that banana is a strict ‘No’ if you want to lose weight, tone muscle and increase your energy. Most likely because of the sugar content, but that is just a myth. While we are on the topic of myths, here are a 6 common fitness myths busted. Banana is a great pre-workout meal, providing instant energy. For best results, consume an hour or 30 minutes ahead of any workout. Bananas help in rising sugar levels in your body which gets converted to energy within no time. If you are wanting to also curb your hunger at the same time so you feel completely fuelled during your workout, Greek yogurt is a great source for protein.
